I have been doing a lot of studying lately on creation and there are many thoughts on this. I would personally still remain in the pool of folks who believe God did create the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Now… the big question comes to be is how long was this 6th day period. I have been taught these could have been 6 – thousand year periods. I am ok with this… I am also open to the fact this MAY HAVE took several million years through those 6 days??? My brother-in-law has a degree in Biology and is a man of faith. He takes the facts science provides and provides some good points in that God could have took a longer time than we might have originally thought to design and bring things to pass. Although, I do NOT believe in evolution, period. I believe “God created the heavens and the earth..” but how long did it take?
Now, I didn’t say I believed it took millions of years but I am open to the fact that God could have took that much time to put these things into motion even before he actually started to create anything. I feel that it was 6 – thousand day periods that God used to create the earth.
I am embedding a video that is the first in a series of videos by Kent Hovind. I think this is one of the BEST series of teachings on creation that I’ve ever seen. Check out the actual website at http://www.drdino.com/
I thought I would throw a poll out here to see how you feel.
