  • Do you have any "secret sin"? In Psalms 90:8, it says, "Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance". This verse lets us know that nothing is hidden from God's eyes. There are two types of secret sin: 1. Those sins that we ARE AWARE OF but are hiding from some or all other people. They are "hidden" because we keep them covered up, out of view. We make every attempt possible to hide them. Funny thing is, God sees it all, even the things which seem to be hidden. Just because they're hidden from other people doesn't mean that they are hidden. How do we deal with this type of secret sin? We deal with them by confessing them to God and turning away from them. We ask God for strength to overcome them and to give us the victory over them. 2. Those sins that we are NOT AWARE OF. These are sins that we either are not aware that they are sins or, sins that we are not aware that we are guilty of committing. Theses are a little harder to deal with because we're not aware of them. They are "blind spots". Blind spots have to be revealed to us. How do we deal with this type of secret sin? This is where the word of God and the Holy Ghost come into the picture. God's word is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet. By reading the Bible regularly it brings us an awareness of our secret sins. The Holy Ghost then empowers us to overcome them and we, through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh. Let's not allow the guilt, condemnation and shame of secret sins keep us bound any longer! This is part of purifying our hearts! -Bro. Kenneth Hack Youth Leader

  • Baptismal Service - February 5, 2017 Acts‬ ‭19:2-6‬ ‭KJV “He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.”
